Saint Peter's Lutheran Women's Missionary League

The purpose of the LWML:

  • to foster and encourage Christian fellowship among the women of the congregation
  • to develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness among the women of the congregation through a threefold program of missionary education, missionary inspiration, and missionary service
  • to influence others to a more prayerful life and study of the Word of God
  • to aid and support and help the Pastors in missionary work
  • to support the National, District, and Zone projects of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League
  • to further the work of the congregation in our community

 Meeting place and time: Multi-Purpose Room, second Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

 Three auxiliary circles meet on the first Tuesday of each month:

  • Miriam Daytime Circle (Dixie Ingram, Chairman)
  • Naomi Evening Circle (Shirley Dellinger, Chairman)
  • Ruth Evening Circle (Marla Early, Chairman)

Circles

We have 3 circles that gather monthly to share God’s word and fellowship.

The Miriam Daytime Circle meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall at the church. Contact chairman Dixie Ingram (828-310-3312) for more information.

The Naomi Circle meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the home of one of the circle members. Contact chairman Shirley Dellinger or the church office 828-256-2970 for more information.

The Ruth Circle meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the home of one of the circle members. Contact chairman Marla Early or the church office 828-256-2970 for more information.

Lutheran Laymen’s League

The Lutheran Laymen’s League is comprised of all ages of men of the church. The purpose of this group is to spread the love of Jesus.

Some activities are devotions, giving camperships to the youth, helping other organizations within the church and giving Bibles to the confirmands.

The group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. in the Parish Hall.

Golden Agers

The Golden Agers is a group of senior citizens who meet in the Parish Hall at 10:00 am on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for fellowship. All ages are welcome to attend.

Meetings are opened with devotions, a Bible study or a presentation by organizations that provide services to the community. A brief business meeting is held and the meeting is closed with prayer.

The group enjoys dining at a restaurant for lunch. 

Men's Prayer Breakfast

The Men's Prayer Breakfast meets the 4th Sunday of each month at 7:00 am for breakfast, Bible study and prayer.
